Job Summary:
The Fiscal Coordinator is responsible for the daily reviews agencies' program invoices for contract compliance. Ensure invoices submitted correspond their budgets, all documentation are complete, and expenses are allowable per contract terms for multiple statewide grants or contract-funded social service programs. The fiscal coordinator will performs coding of accounts payable, account reconciliations, expense allocations, financial analysis, and assists with audit engagements and assignments.
Please note, this position is 100 percent administrative and does not include delivering or supervising direct services to clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review the agency Program invoices for contract compliance. Ensure that the invoices submitted correspond with the approved budget, that documentation is complete, and that expenses are allowable per contract terms.
- Provides coding of accounts payable, account reconciliations, monthly agency invoicing, monthly expense allocations, monthly financial analysis, audits, and year-end assignments.
- Assist the Director of Invoicing/Finance with the agency's budget review/updates.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the agency's accounting staff to resolve invoicing issues.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets used to track and monitor the subcontracting agency's billings.
- Make bank deposits via online banking.
- File and archive the agency invoices and respective documentation.
- Provide support on CCC’s audit engagements.
- Ability to understand payroll processes.
- Review the travel reimbursement submittal forms.
- Continuous quality improvement in areas of responsibility that align with CCC’s standards of excellence.
- Assist in updating and writing processes and procedures.
- Work independently, completing all functions and assignments promptly and professionally.
- Review check requests for proper support documentation consistent with CCC’s policies.
- Ability to independently research and reach sound conclusions about financial transactions.
- Ability to provide recommendations on CCC’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in an accounting department in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- B.A. accounting degree or related field
- At least one year of progressively responsible and diverse accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of financial recordkeeping, procedures, and practices, as well as general office procedure
- Excellent written, math, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Prior exposure to payroll processes desired.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as needed.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of cost allocations.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, departments, and agencies
- Ability to work under pressure: meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines

Catholic Charities of California, Inc. (CCC) is a 501c3 non-profit public benefit corporation. CCC is the state-level office representing California’s 12 local Catholic Charities organizations (LCCOs). California’s LCCO network is the largest non-profit provider of social services in the State.
CCC applies for and administers statewide and regional social services contracts and grants on behalf of LCCOs. CCC functions as the single point of contact with funders, provides contract management services and operational support to participating LCCOs, monitors LCCO progress on contract deliverables, and works with LCCOs to resolve program and contract issues.
