Responsibilities:
Ø Coordinate with clinic medical staff in both clinics to complete prior authorizations for medications and treatment services.
Ø Coordinate client requests for prescription refills.
Ø Assist clients in completing paperwork for prior authorizations.
Ø Liaise with managed care companies to ensure clients’ access to care and medications.
Ø Assist medical staff in returning calls regarding prior authorizations to clients.
Ø Complete progress notes of all contacts made with clients and professional personnel in electronic health record, Netsmart.
Ø Maintain client documentation in health records by filing and scanning paperwork.
Qualifications:
Ø High school diploma required. Associate’s degree and/or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Ø 2 years of experience working in clinic and/or doctor’s office setting preferred.
Ø Experience with electronic medical records data entry.
Ø Valid NYS driver’s license
Ø May require some flexibility with office/clinic hours (some evenings and/or Saturday’s)
Schedule: 10 hrs. per week - flexible
Rate of Pay: $18 per hour
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
