OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all maintenance and general up keep of the campus, including the maintenance of all buildings and grounds; plumbing systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, computer networks and telecommunications, security and alarm systems, landscaping, interior roads and parking areas;

· Coordinate insurance coverage for campus.

· Prepares budgets and work scopes for all maintenance activities.

· Inspect structure of buildings and determine if/when repairs are needed.

· Supervise renovations and additions.

· Evaluate and adjust energy expenditures, including installing greener appliances and fixtures to reduce energy output.

· Perform environmental hazard management/planning and remediation.

· Implement programs and provide leadership

· Maintain vendor relationships.

· Maintain host/landlord relationships for multiple programs using our facilities.

· Responsible for compliance with all City, State and Federal rules and regulations

· Manages and directs the operations of supervisors and their assigned groundskeeping, custodial and maintenance workers.

· Develop and promote proactive and effective preventive and routine maintenance activities

· Prepares and presents information concerning operational effectiveness and service levels to upper management and board of directors.

· Maintain various safety plans, including fire, injury and illness prevention, sprayground, an Emergency Preparedness Program Plan and OMRDD Facilities (Health/Safety and Accident Prevention)

· Develop a standardized rental fee including cost per square foot, security and housekeeping. Evaluate the market rate rental fee in this area

QUALIFICATIONS:

Facility Director negotiates with people at all levels, from cleaner to company director, and so must have excellent people skills. You’ll need to behave professionally and fairly at all times, and be able to express yourself well, both when speaking and in writing. The ability to work within a team is an essential pre-requisite, as is the ability to take control of a situation and resolve it with minimal disruption.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Considerable experience and knowledge of safety principles and practices, including fire, hazardous materials and emergency management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Considerable knowledge of the budget process.
  • Strong ability to identify and recognize unsafe conditions or work practices.
  • Ability to exercise judgments and make decisions.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and delegate work to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Possess and maintain an unblemished driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in project management preferred
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Experience in supervising teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Education - High school diploma or state equivalent
  • Personal characteristics – Flexible, team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Proficient in operating a Windows based PC.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
