Housing Stabilization Services Unit Manager

WAGE RANGE: $24.10 - $28.10/hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities seeks a detail-orientated and solution-focused people leader, who is compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to join us as our Housing Stabilization Services Unit Manager.
The HSS Unit Manager oversees all aspects of staff supervision, program management, unit based medical assistance billing, and daily operations, with a focus on ensuring program activities align with long-term self-sufficiency goals for clients.
Key responsibilities include managing program guidelines, problem-solving, monitoring/reporting program progress, and building relationships with community partners and landlords. The role requires direct supervision of assigned staff, adherence to established policies, as well as providing necessary in-service training to maintain program standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee program accountability through data collection and reporting.
- Monitor client intakes, documentation, and adherence to established procedures.
- Coordinate budget planning and support program development efforts.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to resolve issues, promote communication, and ensure team success.
- Provide supervision and guidance through individual and group sessions for staff support.
- Organize training sessions to enhance staff skills and boost program effectiveness.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, cultural competence, empathy, and flexibility.
- Communicate effectively with diverse staff and community members.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strategically undervalued populations and/or grassroots and/or lived experience with homelessness, trauma, or behavioral health challenges encouraged and welcomed to apply
Minimum Requirements
- Three years of relevant experience in a similar program.
- A minimum of three years' supervisory experience
- Experience with statistical information and computer-based programs.
- Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including individuals facing homelessness, housing instability, and/or mental illness.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as required by the MN Department of Human Services (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred), or equivalent in-service training, certifications, or professional development.
- Experience (paid or volunteer) in homelessness support, health and social services (e.g., foster care, behavioral health, domestic violence, community health).
