WAGE RANGE: $22.50 - $26.30/hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities seeks a dynamic people leader with extensive experience supervising staff and working with young people aged 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness and who is compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to be a program supervisor at our Hope Street Shelter.
As the largest youth shelter in Minnesota, Hope Street offers a range of supportive services to help young people aged 18-24 overcome homelessness. With a focus on trauma-informed care, Hope Street provides essential services like case management, mental health counseling, and life skills training.
The shelter’s goal is to provide a temporary safety net while equipping young people with the tools they need for long-term independence and future success.
Partnering with the Program Director, this individual supervises various components of specific program operations.
Program Supervision duties include supervision of assigned staff members, employee recruitment and coaching, volunteer management, and funding proposals and audits, providing input on policy and procedure changes, policy implementation, billing, planning and development of new and existing program services, reporting, and budget preparation and management.
They are responsible for client service oversight at the assigned program and may consult with specific clients about Catholic Charities services.
They will facilitate meetings assigned by the Director, and keep abreast of changes in the field, and network with other external parties who provide related services to clients and participate in conferences and education as assigned by the Program Director. They will participate in the planning process for periodic goal setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In conjunction with the program leaders, assist with recruitment, hiring, coaching, and supervision of program staff members. Supports the placement of volunteers and interns into the program and ensures integration with paid staff members.
- Supervise staff and conduct performance reviews for assigned staff as requested by the program leaders.
- Advocates for clients receiving services from the program.
- Assists program leaders with the monitoring and/or negotiation of contracts as required.
- Supports operational changes that ensure the program meets accreditation, licensing and best practice standards.
- Assists with the timely completion of program billing.
- Manages program budget, in collaboration with the program leaders.
- Represents Catholic Charities at community events, as assigned.
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring the relevance, accuracy, and timeliness of data and reporting for purposes of accountability and client outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related field preferred, with at least two (2) years of program experience serving clients in a related setting.
- In lieu of degree, three (3) years of program experience serving clients in a related setting is required.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience are preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance coverage.
- Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.
