SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides administrative supervision of 6-8 FTEs and functional supervision of 20 – 30 FTEs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the program by developing and implementing strategies to ensure Teams are adhering to principles and practices of the ACT Fidelity Model.
- Provide face-to-face clinical supervision for team members to ensure timely implementation of high quality, medically necessary ACT services that meet the DC Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) standards.
- Provide management to staff through team meetings to review expectations, provide clinical in-service training and team building and facilitate peer supervision. Provide guidance and modeling of appropriate ACT functions to all team members.
- Ensure psychosocial functional assessments and Individual Recovery Plans (IRP’s) are completed within established timelines to ensure compliance with MHRS and payment standards through review of documentation and EHR reports to ensure all medically necessary interventions are authorized through signature on the IRP.
- Provide crisis intervention, as necessary including assessing for possible FD-12.
- Ensure all Streicher reviews (Outpatient commitment reviews) are completed in order to meet the timelines of the court.
- Coordinate new referrals with DBH ACT Coordinator.
- Participate in Department of Behavioral Health ACT Meetings and other DBH meetings as needed.
- Develop new programs to address the unmet needs of consumers including but not limited to Substance Abuse programs.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Current DC license as LICSW, LPC or PsyD
- 10 years direct services experience in a mental health environment working with adults with serious mental illness, co-occurring substance abuse and chronic health issues and histories of trauma.
- 3 years progressive management experience.
- Driving is required. Must have a valid local license and clean driving record.
- Leadership ability. Skill in crisis intervention, case management, co-occurring disorders treatment, and administrative reporting.
- Ability to supervise and train employees and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
