JOB SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator (SNAP) coordinates the SNAP benefits application process for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and acts as CBO Administrator following the standards, policies, and procedures of the agency, funder, accreditor, and applicable laws. The position prepares qualitative and quantitative reports for funders and ensures program compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits application process for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to ensure smooth and efficient assistance to case workers and SNAP applicants.
• Facilitate eligibility determination by streamlining policy and utilizing waivers, as necessary.
• Collaborate with CBO case workers to provide guidance and support during the SNAP application process.
• Conduct regular training sessions for CBO staff to ensure they are updated on SNAP program policies and procedures. This includes orientation for new or onboarding staff (training on redetermination, linking cases, etc.).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of SNAP applications, approvals, and re-certifications.
• Act as Community-Based Organization (CBO) Administrator for EEE.
• Prepare qualitative and quantitative reports according to deadlines and in keeping with standards these include and are not limited to:
• Montgomery County Hub’s Report.
• Family Support Homelessness Prevention Report.
• Catholic Charities USA Walmart Mid-Term Report.
• Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program de Maryland (SNAP MD), Confidential Data User Agreement, Program Report.
  

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

• AA degree.
• 2 years experience as a case worker.
• Driving is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  
  

SKILLS And COMPETENCIES

• Bilingual, Spanish-English. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
• Knowledge of case management techniques.
