JOB SUMMARY : The Sr. Program Accountant administers all financial aspects related to the assigned portfolio. This includes assisting with budget development, billing preparation, pursuing receivable collections and recording revenues and expenses in accordance with GAAP The Sr. Program Accountant ensures reports and related documentation for the Federal Single audit requirements comply with grants and contract regulations. The Sr. Program Accountant prepares monthly reconciliations, roll forward schedules, and assists in the preparation of the Single audit; and will work collaboratively across departments to oversee financial and compliance facets of the grants and contracts awarded.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform the financial operations and administrative functions of assigned portfolio in support of overall contractual goals and objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly contract billings and reconciliations for the assigned portfolio and ensure that the appropriate supporting documentation is prepared and maintained.
- Prepare all journal entries for assigned portfolio.
- Monitor contracts and grants compliance with funding terms and conditions.
- Manage accounts receivable functions for assigned portfolio including coding of receipts.
- Perform financial and administrative functions in support of the Finance departments overall goals.
