As the Housing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Screening and approval of applications, qualifying prospective residents per requirements outlined in the Tenant Selection criteria
- Coordination with CCHO Case Management, Public Housing Authorities (PHA) and Departments of Social Services (DSS) to ensure expedient approval of tenancy and timely re-certifications based on changes in household income and annual renewal dates
- Providing continual guidance to tenants via tenant meetings, mailed notices, and one-on-one communication regarding requirements of the lease, Code provisions and the Section-8 program
- Enforcement of conditions of lease agreement, working closely with case management to engage tenants in appropriate corrective action plans
- Keeping Case Management Team and DMFH aware of tenant problems and any extraordinary incidents regarding tenants
- Maintaining Rent Workbook, tenant files, and household data via HMIS database and assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual program reports
- Ensuring proper maintenance of the units, buildings and grounds as per HUD’s Housing Quality Standards including health and safety monitoring equipment (smoke detection and fire alarm systems)
Housing Manager Minimum Salary: $ 22.00
Housing Manager Maximum Salary: $ 25.00
Housing Manager Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm (37.5 Hours)
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Property Management or related field
- Must have a personal cellphone
- Valid driver’s license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle
