As the Ombudsman Program Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Participates in an ongoing program of education and public awareness to address systematic problems and elder abuse as well as the program’s need to recruit Ombudsman volunteers
- Liaison with resident councils in all LTC facilities, provides presentations for staff, residents and community regarding Ombudsman services, resident rights, and other pertinent topic
- Meet with residents and family members, conduct investigations around complaints, and interview facility staff
- Represent the Ombudsman program by reviewing and responding to resident, family and/or community members complaints regarding LTC facilities, adhering to the highest level of confidentiality
- Presents the program’s services in public forums, such as speaking engagements, agency fairs, radio/television interviews, as assigned by Program Director
- Ensures that all complaints are assigned to an Ombudsman for investigation and resolution, and that back-up procedures are followed assigning a substitute Ombudsman in the absence of the assigned Ombudsman
- Assists with development/scheduling and participates in Ombudsman initial volunteer training, in-services and meetings
Ombudsman Program Coordinator Minimum Salary: $ 25.00
Ombudsman Program Coordinator Maximum Salary: $ 25.00
Ombudsman Program Coordinator Schedule: 2 - 3 days a week 8:30am-4pm (18 Hours)
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Human Services or related field
- 3-5 years of experience
