Housing Counseling Supervisor

Hybrid Position

Our New Housing Counseling Supervisor will manage the following important functions and report to our Chief Operating Officer:

  • Meet with financial and banking vendors to cultivate banking relationships
  • Interact with mortgage service representatives, realtors, and other relevant parties to provide information on mortgage products and available resources to clients
  • Deliver home buyer education workshops multiple times throughout the year, teaching on topics such as credit reports, budgeting, mortgage loans, real estate, home inspections, closing process and life as a homeowner
  • Perform administrative quality control tasks required to ensure compliance with grant requirements
  • Meet with clients and provide housing counseling to low - moderate income clients for pre-post purchase, or foreclosure activities
  • Maintain documentation to ensure all state or grant compliance requirements are met and submit proper reporting when required
  • Assist homeowners on avoiding foreclosure
  • Supervise the Housing Counseling Specialist

What You Bring to The Table

  • BA/BS preferred
  • Experience in housing counseling, home ownership education, federal housing programs
  • Ability to study for and pass the HUD Certification within three months of hire
  • Personal accountability for the quality of work
  • Strategic planning ability
  • Teaching experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to conduct training presentations
  • Knowledge of budge and credit counseling, mortgage lending, and mortgage terminology
  • Solid analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
  • A reliable ensured vehicle, ability to drive, a good driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Commitment to integrity, excellence, and the highest standards of ethics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salaried position

Typically two days per week hybrid!!

9am – 5pm

Typically three evenings per month teaching classes
