Job Title: Department Manager - Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology and Patient Transportation
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology and Patient Transportation department. As the Department Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, supervising, and coordinating the administrative and technical operations of the department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of Radiology & Transportation, coordinating services between departments and affiliate sites.
- Identify operational issues, recommend, and direct changes to provide effective solutions.
- Develop short-term and long-term plans, oversee space and resource allocation, and set department priorities.
- Oversee quality programs and processes, ensuring all safety and regulatory requirements are maintained.
- Develop standardized practices, equipment purchases, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Prepare and defend annual operating and capital budgets for Radiology & Transportation.
- Identify cost-saving and revenue-producing opportunities and lead implementation of plans.
- Responsible for staffing and human resource management.
- Lead customer service program in Radiology & Transportation.
- Built strong working relationships with physicians and work collaboratively to address imaging service needs.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new imaging equipment and ancillary support equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
- Must have a current license or certification in a related Imaging field
- Minimum 7 years experience in the discipline and 5 years leadership experience
- Five (5) years leadership experience
- MRAD-TX (licensed in Medical Radiology for Texas)
- RTR (Real Time Radiology)
- BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Memberships in professional organizations on a local, state, and national level are desirable
