Job Summary:
The Director of Supply Chain Informatics is responsible for setting overall supply chain information systems and technology strategy based on business needs and institutional goals. In collaboration with Information Technology Services and the Chief Data Analytics Office, the Director of Supply Chain Informatics oversees Supply Chain data analytics and metrics, planning, implementation, and optimization of all Supply Chain information systems, including Procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and managing Supply Chain ERP modules.
This role is crucial in delivering strategic data assets and insights, establishing and implementing the supply chain technology roadmap, and enhancing internal and external communication tools. The Director of Supply Chain Informatics will lead the development and implementation of advanced reporting tools, interactive dashboards, and AI-driven analytics to enhance supply chain decision-making and operational efficiency for a supply chain organization. Principal working relationships will include leadership teams, department heads, vendors, consultants, IT Services, the Office of Information Security, and all system users.

• Supply Chain Systems Strategy, Implementation, and Ongoing Management:
• Responsible for Supply Chain systems strategy, implementation, and ongoing management, including the following components: ERP components of Purchasing, Inventory Management, Item Master, and potential future Contracting and Strategic Sourcing.
Strategy and Leadership:
• Assist in developing a vision, strategy, and roadmap that increases automation, optimizes Supply Chain systems, explores new technologies, and aligns with the forward-looking operational and technical architecture vision.
• Develop and promote forward-thinking strategies to stay ahead of industry trends and drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
• Ensure compliance with all cybersecurity policies and practices as defined by the Chief Information Security Officer.
• Research, recommend, and implement improvements and best practices to maximize our technological capacities to achieve operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Propose and drive improvements to business processes by challenging existing practices.
• Support supply chain organizational transformation to become a more agile integrated supply chain.
• Drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making capabilities.
Data Management and Analytics:
• Utilize predictive analytics to forecast demand, identify potential supply chain disruptions and optimize inventory management.
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into supply chain performance, inventory levels, and procurement activities.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead data quality improvement projects and initiatives, including developing data quality metrics and dashboards.
• Serve as a center of excellence for data management and analytics, promoting best practices and continuous improvement across the organization.
Strategic Implementation:
• Identify and analyze emerging technologies and best practices that support our long-term strategic goals and integrate these important new technologies skillfully while providing strong direction and leadership to development teams.
• Ensure Supply Chain systems interface accurately and timely into financial accounting systems.
• Lead, define, and develop department data analytics strategy and capabilities.
• Participate in security reviews and audits with organizational leaders and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy standards for organization-wide data, proprietary information, and related intellectual property by working with Information Security and Access Management.
• Oversee ad hoc reporting, routine report generation, and dashboards to support good decision-making.
• Develop a disaster prevention and recovery plan for Supply Chain systems.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

• Experienced technology professional comfortable managing highly technical teams while focusing on the strategic impact and mission of the organization.

• Advanced experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word).
