Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Manages overtime and unit staffing for all nursing staff based on budget, patient acuity and census on a daily basis2. Communicates staffing decisions to Nurse Managers of concerned area3. Ensures agency nursing staff is in appropriate units at the scheduled time4. Responds and intervenes in all emergency situations5. Coordinates all staff nurse sick calls and communicates information to the manager of concern.6. Responsible for the notification of on call staff7. Responsible for coordinating after hour procedures8. Acts promptly and decisively to address problems that arise throughout the house9. Serves as administrative / management representative at all times
Qualifications
Education Level
Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Licensure / Certification
Texas Registered Nurse License BLS ACLS PALS within 6 months of hire / transfer TNCC Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work with other departments Experience working with people of different skill, experience and educational background Provides patient teaching based on the patient teaching plan.
