Job Details
Responsibilities of the Distribution Supervisor include:
- Ensure compliance to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Resolve staff problems and issues. - Works to create an environment that fosters individual respect and encourages employees to contribute their talents to the goals of the department and St. Francis.
- Promotes and communicates commitment, values and ethics within the department.
- Ensures proper staffing effectiveness. Ensures completion of and adherence to staffing schedules.
- Coordinates orientations, ensure employees has a clear understanding of position duties and responsibilities, policies and procedures, fire and safety regulations and other requirements.
- Provides assistance and counseling to staff in meeting performance standards and goals, fosters independence, motivation, continued development and morale.
- Ensures disciplinary action is taken per established policy and procedure when unsatisfactory performance is identified.
- Maintains employee time and attendance records.
- Procurement of assigned inventory items based on parameters set. Verify and adjust parameters after careful review and parallel to the hospital census. Handles emergency orders, back orders, and/or stocking problems.
- Utilizes materials Management Computer System for entering data used in the procurement of inventory and maintaining files.
- Coordinates and check all purchase orders with new supplies received; records files and maintains records of all items ordered and distributed.
- Expedites ordering by contacting vendors for delivery information.
- Verify all inventory reports to prove that all information was entered and processed properly. Makes corrections to transaction errors after thoroughly researching the source of error.
- Reviews reports to maintain inventory at optimum levels and to determine utilization trends.
- Process all necessary paperwork/documentation accurately and efficiently for issuing supplies and equipment within the normal workday.
Requirements for the Distribution Supervisor role include:
- High School Diploma, Some College Preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Previous inventory management experience preferred
Salary Range
USD $29.50 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
