Provides registration support for facilitation of patient flow and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate a safe quality experience for patients through the continuum of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with bed board and patient throughput by placing patients in rooms
• Tracks DC and monitors actual times for bed cleaning
• Escalates any transportation issues after hours
• Responsible for light data collecting and reporting
• Orders DME for the department and they track and order office supplies
• Answers phones and address any issues
• Attends escalation meetings
• Assists HIM with patient appeals from the care management department.      
• Maintains accurate accommodation codes
• Works with Nursing supervision on placing PACU patients.
• Emails daily DC for the house when the HUB RN is not in
• Ensures patient flow is not impeded.
• Maintains strong communication and tracking with the patient access department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Strong customer relations skills
• Strong computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel)
• Medical terminology knowledge, prior hospital admitting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and listening skills required for communicating clearly and effectively with others.
