What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sonographer - Breast Care Center position at Catholic Medical Center?
Who you are:
Catholic Medical Center is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our Breast Care Center team in Bedford, NH. You are the subject matter expert in performing all aspects of Ultrasound and you produce the highest quality images. Your calm bedside manner is evident in how you communicate with our patients, giving them the best experience.
What you'll do:
- Prepare patients for ultrasound
- Educate on exam, both prior to and during ultrasound
- Explain procedures to patients while performing studies.
- Reassure the patient at all times and be sensitive to the comfort and needs of the patients.
- Communicate and work closely with Mammography Technologists, Providers, and members of our Interdisciplinary Care Team.
- Work closely with Physicians to perform biopsies and procedures.
- Assist in providing training in Diagnostic Ultrasound for Radiologic Technology students.
What you'll bring:
- 1 years' experience as an Ultrasound/Sonographer is preferred
- Breast Ultrasound experience is highly preferred
- Satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound training program or equivalent experience.
- Registry or Certification from accredited two year Allied Health Program or two years of college with emphasis on the Biological sciences.
- Registered or Registry Eligible, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Licensed in the State of New Hampshire with the Board of Medical Imaging& Radiation Therapy (MIRT).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
