Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Coordinator to join our administrative team. The Dental Coordinator will play a crucial role in accurately processing patient billing and insurance claims, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Process patient billing accurately and efficiently using Dentrix.
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for patients.
Prepare and submit insurance claims electronically or by mail.
Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely payment.
Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage and billing statements.
Maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
Stay up-to-date on insurance regulations and coding changes.
Conduct treatment consultations with patients.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or dental billing.
Proficiency in dental billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of dental insurance procedures and billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, CDT).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and team members.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
