In this role, you will analyze project details and past data to provide accurate estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Your work will help create competitive budgets and support decision-making. Responsibilities:
- Use historical data and takeoffs to create accurate project estimates.
- Organize estimate files with up-to-date pricing, market trends, and relevant information.
- Prepare and share reports, bid packages, and project details with field personnel for awarded bids.
- Recommend design alternatives based on cost, material availability, and quality.
- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Estimate mid- to large-scale roadway projects with minimal supervision.
- Work with management, vendors, and teams to ensure project goals and requirements align.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training/experience.
- Skilled in estimating and bidding software.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of industry standards, market trends, and construction methods.
