The Sales Engineer will collaborate with the Account Manager to build strong relationships with new and existing customers, combining technical expertise and communication skills to meet their needs and grow the business.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with current and potential customers to understand their needs and offer solutions. Build strong relationships through phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Provide technical advice to customers, offering practical machining solutions that meet their needs and budget.
- Work with production and engineering teams to create customized solutions for customer projects.
- Help create accurate job estimates, including materials, timelines, and resources.
- Partner with the Account Manager to strengthen relationships with customers and align technical solutions with business goals.
- Work with internal teams to improve quoting, estimating, and production processes for better efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with CNC machining advancements and trends to keep offerings competitive and cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or manufacturing, with CNC machining experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining and the ability to explain processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Experience in quoting and estimating jobs in machining or manufacturing.
- Ability to work well with internal teams and the Account Manager for smooth customer experiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software; experience with JobBOSS2 and/or QuickBooks Online is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
