Position Summary:
We are looking for a Kubernetes Consultant to help manage and optimize our client's on-prem Kubernetes environment. This role differs from traditional UNIX Engineering and focuses on the design and operational enhancement of Container and Kubernetes technologies.
Must haves:
Kubernetes (on-prem)
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and IaC/CaC frameworks
Nice to haves:
Exposure to Ansible - Moving heavily to automation.
Strong coding or scripting skills is good.
Professional tools like Terraform
Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Kubernetes (on-prem environments)
Hands-on exposure managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters and Container implementations
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD)
Proficiency in IaC/CaC frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Helm)
Knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and networking
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman)
Understanding of security best practices for containerized environments
Familiarity with SAN and NAS technology
Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, prioritize workload in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail, self-managing and solutions oriented
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize our on-prem Kubernetes infrastructure
Enhance container orchestration, scaling, and automation
Improve CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployment
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) frameworks
Work cross-functionally with development, security, and operations teams
Education Requirement
