Platform Support Engineer
Location : Charlotte, NC
Duration : 12 Month Contract
Position Summary:
Collaborate with leads & internal team for software design and deployment architecture.
Developing test structures, reviewing specifications, and troubleshooting applications.
Respond to risk or audit identified issues with access control processes designed for compliance with firm separation of duties, practices, software release management standards and policies.
Collaborate with Scrum Master, Product Owners, Architects, Developers and other stakeholders to understand products from inception to implementation and iterate with team on new features or change requests.
Liaise with Infrastructure team on the infrastructure plan that will continue to accommodate the organization's future needs.
Help produce metrics such as incident time-to-resolution, so that team can improve on the efficacy of the procedures and tools.
Aim to automate the code promotion and hence cutting deployment time, making code more reliable, and freeing developers from manual & repetitive tasks.
Develop operations documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Required Skills:
Knowledge of Windows & Linux Operating systems.
Ability to understand java and diagnose related issues
Experience with DevOps & Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace.
Strong knowledge & experience of CI/CD using Ansible, Jenkins, PowerShell.
Strong knowledge in Change/Release Management methodology and systems.
Experience with Git or any other source control system.
Familiarity with architecture styles for APIs (REST, RPC, SOAP)
Python
Desired Skills:
Jira Stories and backlog management.
Database Performance tuning.
BMC Remedy
Awareness of Cloud computing, containers using AWS or Azure, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Experience working with global teams
