Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a Client Services Coordinator for their Victim Services programs. The Victim Services Coordinator provides trauma-informed support and advocacy to child and adult victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. This role ensures survivors receive the resources, emotional support, and guidance necessary to navigate the legal, medical and social service system. The Coordinator will collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, medical professionals, and social service agencies to promote survivor-centered services. The Coordinator also recruits, trains, supervises and supports hotline volunteers, ensuring quality crisis response.
The Client Services Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Crisis Intervention & Support
- Provide immediate emotional support and crisis intervention for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse
- Assist victims in understanding their rights and options.
Advocacy & Accompaniment
- Accompany victims to medical examinations, forensic interviews, and court proceedings.
- Advocate for victims within the legal system, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
- Facilitate communication between victims and law enforcement, medical professionals, and social service providers.
- Cover the Agency's 24-hour hotline.
Case Management & Resource Referral
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized safety and support plans.
- Connect victims with community resources such as emergency shelter, counseling, legal aide, and financial assistance.
- Follow up with victims to provide ongoing support and resource coordination.
Community Outreach & Education
- Conduct educational presentations on victim rights, trauma-informed care, and prevention strategies.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations to strengthen victim services.
Supervision of Hotline Volunteers
- Recruit, train and supervise volunteers who staff the crisis hotline.
- Provide ongoing support, debriefing, and guidance to hotline volunteers.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to agency policies and protocols.
- Monitor call logs and access volunteer performance to maintain high-quality crisis response.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in compliance with confidentiality and agency policies.
- Ensure adherence to grant and funding requirements related to victim advocacy services.
- Perform other duties as assigned (may not be essential)
Qualified Candidates will have:
- an Associate's degree in human services, criminal justice, psychology or a related field.
- Experience working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, or child abuse preferred.
- Must possess strong communication skills, be self-motivated and able to multi-task.
- Must pass background checks and complete required trainings.
The Agency offers:
- 3 Weeks PTO in your first year, 4 weeks in your second year.
