Procedure Scheduler

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the procedure scheduling system.
- Schedule patients for appropriate procedures while ensuring accuracy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Epic medical record scheduling system
- Update block schedules and assignments in Epic medical record as necessary.
- Verify scheduling forms for procedures and coordinate with the charge nurse on added cases or changes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of scheduling systems and hospital information systems.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with imaging exams.
- Experience in procedure scheduling or related administrative healthcare roles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard).
- Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch for tasks such as retrieving items from lower shelves or filing in low drawers.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Onsite at Cayuga Gastroenterology, 1020 Craft Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
- Standard Days shift 8am - 4:30pm, with potential flexibility based on department needs.
- 0% Travel can be expected in this role.
Compensation Disclosure:
- $20.50 to $26.00 per hour
