Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage the procedure scheduling system.
• Schedule patients for appropriate procedures while ensuring accuracy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Epic medical record scheduling system
• Update block schedules and assignments in Epic medical record as necessary.
• Verify scheduling forms for procedures and coordinate with the charge nurse on added cases or changes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of scheduling systems and hospital information systems.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with imaging exams.
• Experience in procedure scheduling or related administrative healthcare roles.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard).
• Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch for tasks such as retrieving items from lower shelves or filing in low drawers.
• Work is primarily performed in an office environment.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Onsite at Cayuga Gastroenterology, 1020 Craft Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
• Standard Days shift 8am - 4:30pm, with potential flexibility based on department needs.
• 0% Travel can be expected in this role.

Compensation Disclosure:

• $20.50 to $26.00 per hour
