This role emphasizes maintaining patient dignity and privacy while promptly communicating with on-site staff about any immediate safety concerns. The position requires adherence to patient confidentiality and institutional policies.Roles and Responsibilities :

• Operate the TeleSitter system, maintaining continuous observation and verbal redirection for up to 16 patients simultaneously.
• Communicate behavioral changes to on-site staff promptly and clearly.
• Participate in shift reports, sharing and reviewing pertinent patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address patient safety concerns.
• Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and environmental safety at all times.Required Skills and Experience :
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Completion of hospital orientation and training.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in patient care, hospital environments, or a related field.Preferred Skills and Experience :
• Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and basic computer applications.Physical Requirements :
• Continuous visual monitoring of digital displays with the ability to remain alert for prolonged periods.
• Frequent verbal communication using audio devices.
• Light physical tasks, such as adjusting computer equipment (less than 10 pounds).
• Cognitive ability to multitask and prioritize simultaneous safety concerns effectively.
• Work is performed in a remote or office-based setting with minimal environmental exposure.Location, Travel, and Shift Requirements :
• Onsite : Cayuga Medical Center- 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850
• Shift : 7pm - 7am and rotating weekends
