JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Gemstone & Diamond Grading: Evaluate, sort, and grade incoming diamonds and colored gemstones.
- Product Valuation: Assess values based on market pricing and business needs.
- Jewelry Appraisals: Conduct in-house and external appraisals for fine jewelry.
- Customer Interaction: Assist with estate buying transactions, providing transparency and expertise.
- Sales Support: Act as a resource for the bridal team, offering gemological insights on engagement rings and other fine jewelry.
- Multi-Faceted Role: Take on diverse responsibilities, including sorting melee diamonds and educating customers on gemstone quality.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the jewelry industry (sales, buying, appraisal, or related fields).
- GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
- Experience in jewelry buying and/or selling is a plus, but not required, our client provides training.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, comfortable engaging with the public and educating clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Location: Hudsonville, MI

- Work Schedule:
- Monday & Thursday: 9 am- 8 pm
- Tuesday & Friday: 9 am - 6 pm
- Saturday: 9 am - 4 pm
- Closed: Wednesdays & Sundays
