A prestigious fine jewelry and timepiece retailer is seeking a skilled Watchmaker to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work with an authorized luxury watch retailer, servicing high-end timepieces with precision and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and restorations on a variety of quartz, mechanical, and automatic watches.
- Conduct diagnostic testing to identify repair needs and ensure the accuracy and functionality of timepieces.
- Replace and repair components such as movements, crystals, hands, and batteries.
- Maintain and care for specialized tools, equipment, and workstations to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional service and support for high-value timepieces.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment, including timing machines, case presses, and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional manual dexterity, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of both historical and modern timepiece styles is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Watchmaker, with a strong portfolio of work on luxury and high-end timepieces.
- Rolex certification is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
- Expertise in servicing luxury brands such as Rolex, Tudor, Patek Philippe, Omega, and other high-end watchmakers.
- Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., WOSTEP, SAWTA, or AWCI) is preferred but not required.
- Location: Deer Park, IL
- Schedule: Core store hours are Monday - Saturday, with a scheduled day off during the week. Extended hours may apply during the December holiday season.
- Compensation: Compensation package includes a strong base salary.
