Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead all maintenance operations and processes
- Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance
- Manage ammonia system, and collaborate with primary vendor on issues
- Oversee diesel truck, trailer, and reefer maintenance
- Oversee warehouse equipment (forklifts, sit downs, pallet jacks, and chargers)
- Develop and track annual budget for the maintenance department
- Hold vendors accountable for their services, and follow up as necessary
- Identify areas for improvement and assign team or vendors to take care of issues
- Perform administrative tasks as required, such as compiling invoices to be paid
- Ability to clean, paint, operate electric tools, repair, and install things for the warehouse, just as any other maintenance associate
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and at working standards
- Regularly inspect the facility to detect and resolve problems as early as possible
- Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with co-workers
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance
- Account for all tools, materials, and relative equipment; place orders for new supplies as needed
- Work safely in accordance with company safety rules and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Five years of experience in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques • Previous managerial experience is preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of the facilities’ machines and equipment
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
- Basic knowledge of computers
