Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to define, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s CCE strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s values, mission, and long-term objectives.
- Budget Oversight: Develop, manage and oversee the CCE corporate budget and grantmaking initiatives through company’s donor-advised fund.
- Internal community: Partner with Human Resources and Leadership on strategic partnerships that foster a pipeline of talent aligned with corporate needs and values.
- Philanthropy & Social Impact: Lead, expand and promote corporate philanthropy, employee workplace giving, and community engagement initiatives, with a focus on measurable impact and industry recognition.
- Early Talent Recruitment Programs: Collaborate with the Human Resources department and external organizations to develop and enhance recruitment strategies for the company's early talent internship programs, focusing on deepening existing partnerships with local colleges and universities.
- Employee Engagement & Volunteerism: Develop, promote and measure programmatic employee engagement in CCE activities and foster a culture of giving, volunteerism, and social responsibility within the workforce.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships tied to specific business interests with key internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, local communities, NGOs, government bodies, and industry associations.
- Partnerships: Identify and help secure third party sponsor relationships to support corporate and CBC business units’ community engagement activities
- Communication & Advocacy: Partner with Internal Communications to develop messaging strategies that promote CCE initiatives through the company’s annual CCE report and communicate progress to both internal and external audiences.
- Corporate Representation: Serve as the company’s primary representative with nonprofit boards, community leaders, and partners to advocate for CCE objectives aligned with company's business priorities.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and manage CCE risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while advocating for industry-wide change.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish and measure the impact of CCE initiatives, benchmarking against industry standards and ensuring the achievement of meaningful, strategic goals.
- Special Projects: As delegated by the President/COO.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sustainability, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in CCE, sustainability, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience developing and implementing successful CCE programs, including sustainability initiatives, employee engagement, philanthropy, and diversity programming.
- Strong understanding and application of CCE frameworks, industry regulations, and sustainability trends.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to independently manage complex projects, set and achieve goals, and measure the impact of social responsibility initiatives.
- Passion and proven track record for successful implementation of social responsibility, sustainability, and creating a positive impact for both the company and broader community.
- Expertise in sustainability principles, CCE frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Budget management and familiarity with oversight of donor-advised funds
- Strong project management skills to oversee and deliver CCE initiatives.
- Analytical skills to assess, track, and report on the impact of CCE programs.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and drive CCE integration across the organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
- This position is primarily in an office setting however it could include walking, navigating stairs, and prolonged standing at community events.
- Occasional travel for industry conferences, stakeholder meetings, or development research
- Primarily office-based within an office environment.
- Regular interaction with city officials, business leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Full-time, typically Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed for events, site visits, or urgent matters.
