About the role
- Seeking Accounting Manager to handle bookkeeping and finance responsibilities for business involving 4 legal entities. Position has the potential to grow within the company and to become a team leader as we reasonably forecast significant growth over the next three years. The successful candidate will have oversight of the banking, general ledger and financial statements in addition to participation in financial reviews for RFP responses.
What you'll do
- Daily oversight of all company bank accounts ensuring balances are adequate to cover outstanding checks and payroll.
- Prepare daily Key Items report highlighting bank balances, outstanding vendor checks, invoicing status, accounts payable status and other key financial data.
- Preparing monthly invoices to customers.
- Cut weekly checks to vendors.
- Manage medical claims process.
- Work with Payroll Administrator to record bi-weekly payrolls.
- Work with operations team to develop budget forecasts for each client.
- Monthly bank account reconciliations.
- Recording journal entries for all entities.
- Closing monthly statements following documented closing procedures.
- Preparing and distributing monthly Management Report on a timely basis highlighting positive and negative results by site. Include budget verse actual performance.
- Manage year end activities including 1099’s, finalizing general ledger for tax preparation and resolving any tax related questions.
- Support activities to complete company financial Reviews as requested by management.
- Participate in RFP reviews and responses as requested by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting and should have 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with QuickBooks required.
- CPA preferred.
