Internship Summary :
We are looking for a Credit Analyst Intern to join our team this summer!
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in your field of interest. You will learn how to support the business day-to-day, manage project work, develop your network, and engage in professional development. This opportunity is onsite with the team.
What You Will Do :
- Exposure to all aspects of credit underwriting, including analyzing financial statements of all levels of quality to develop an initial assessment of strengths and weaknesses.
- Prepare credit presentations / memos for presentation at weekly loan committee meetings.
- Assist in maintaining commercial loan files, ensuring credit files are current, contain complete documentation and that the documentation complies with the loan agreement.
- Provide support to commercial bankers, including loan documentation preparation and other duties as needed.
- Various projects as identified : potential to assist with project management responsibilities to transition to a new Loan Origination System.
- Exposure to all aspects of credit underwriting, including analyzing financial statements of all levels of quality to develop an initial assessment of strengths and weaknesses.
- Engage with different segments of the bank for increased exposure and networking. These areas include Commercial Banking, Internal Audit, Investments, Mortgage, Branch Banking, Marketing, Finance and Accounting, etc.
- Participate in educational sessions and trainings to develop and enhance core skills and industry knowledge.
- Attend networking sessions with other interns from CBI, and other banks, to learn from banking professionals and engage in teamwork sessions.
- Present your experiences and projects at the end of the summer.
