The Automation Engineer will join an already successful team to grow our projects, other staff, and personally through the firm’s commitment to our people. An experienced Automation Engineer who brings in mature technical skills, continually advancing themselves through training, involvement with product launches, and is active within the team dynamics will find themselves at home with Myers and Stauffer. Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with technical and business subject matter experts to understand requirements and technical designs.
- Review requirements, user stories, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium C#.
- Create/maintain Automation test frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- API test automation.
- Optimize test scripts for performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Prepare test data and oversee readiness of test environments.
- Identify, document, report and track QA defects in Jira.
- Track QA metrics – examples include test execution metrics, automation coverage, and defect metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- 3 years of related work experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Knowledge of both manual and automation testing.
- Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge of current software QA methodologies and tools.
- High proficiency with C# is strongly preferred.
- Experience in creating/maintaining Nuget packages is a plus.
- Selenium Automation experience is strongly preferred.
- CI/CD experience in bamboo is a plus.Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Experience testing Desktop, Web Applications, large amounts of Data, and Reports.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools like Axe, SiteImprove, etc.
- Experience working with complex SQL queries, GitHub, and BitBucket.
- Strong Analytical, Problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Work independently, be engaged and willing to ask questions.
