CBIZ is assisting its client in the search for a Litigation Support Specialist.
Responsibilities :
- Document Management : Organize, review, and manage litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- E-Discovery Support : Assist in the collection, processing, and review of electronically stored information (ESI) using industry-standard tools and software.
- Database Management : Maintain and update litigation databases ensuring accuracy and security of case information.
- Research Assistance : Conduct legal research and summarize findings to assist attorneys in case strategy and development.
- Training : Train end users on database use and document management.
- Reporting : Prepare status reports and case summaries for attorneys, highlighting key developments and deadlines.
- Trial Preparation : Assist and support attorneys in trial preparation, including creating exhibit lists and preparing trial binders. Qualifications :
- Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Legal Studies, Business, Information Technology).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related roles.
- Proficient in legal software (e.g., CSDisco) and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and e-discovery principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred :
- Paralegal certification or similar credentials.
- Experience with trial technology and courtroom presentations.
- Familiarity with various legal areas (e.g., intellectual property, corporate law, employment law).
Work Environment :
Annual Salary Range : $70,000 – $95,000 depending on experience
