The Opportunity
Our Sales Management path is designed to identify and develop exceptional sales talent who excel in sales and embody our mission and values. Over the course of 3-6 months, you’ll transition from a top producer to a respected team leader, preparing you for a full-time Roofing Sales Manager role.
Phase 1: Leadership Criteria for Consideration
During the first three months, you'll be evaluated based on key leadership attributes to ensure you're ready for the challenge of management. The criteria include:
- Mission, Vision, and Values Alignment: Demonstrating consistent alignment with our core values in all interactions.
- Team Influence and Organic Value Contribution: Building strong, authentic relationships and contributing positively to team dynamics.
- Commitment to the Sales Process: Mastering our sales process and setting a standard for the team.
- Active Participation: Engaging fully in team activities, meetings, and communication.
- Ethical Sales Practices: Selling with integrity to ensure long-term trust and satisfaction.
- Consistent High Production: Achieving a top 10% producer ranking for three consecutive months.
- Personal Growth through Assigned Reading: Completing tailored reading assignments to support leadership development.
Phase 2: Roofing Sales Manager in Training (SMIT) Transition
Upon meeting the leadership criteria, you’ll embark on a three-month SMIT transition, gaining practical leadership experience and preparing for full-time management responsibilities. This includes:
- Month 4 - Shadowing and Training: Shadow our current sales leader and complete Modules 1-4, focusing on foundational leadership concepts.
- Month 5 - Co-Management and Continued Training: Collaborate on team management and performance tracking, completing Modules 5-8 on team dynamics and performance metrics.
- Month 6 - Independent Leadership: Take on independent leadership responsibilities with oversight, completing Modules 9-12 on advanced strategies and full leadership responsibilities.
