About the Role
As a CBRE Data Center Sr. Manager, you will lead a team responsible for providing expert preventative maintenance and repair services to a large Data Center client.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees and monitor their training and development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor and coach as needed.
- Act as the point of contact for the client, working with key stakeholders to meet all MSA requirements.
- Resolve unforeseen circumstances and inform the client or executive management when necessary.
- Verify facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed SLA timeframe.
- Oversee Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation, and decommission requests.
- Check daily routine cleanup of the data halls and review findings, presenting an overview to the client and manager as needed.
- Confirm all advanced deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments and present to executive management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 5-8 years of relevant experience; or a combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job subject area, multiple job fields, and department.
- 2 In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive attitude.
