What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Producer position at CBS Television Stations?
CBS O&O in Miami (WFOR) is looking for a Dayside Executive Producer who has a passion for news and a critical eye for showcasing great content to help elevate our newscasts. We need an organized leader who has a vision and can help their team grow skills in a fast-paced newsroom in beautiful South Florida.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of the preparation of a rundown and scripts for the early evening newscasts
- Oversight of the use of all our graphic resources to enhance our storytelling
- Aggressive with breaking news and contribute to station’s goal of growing digital content
- Boothing and producing newscasts when needed
- Writing compelling news stories and meeting deadlines
- Must perform administrative duties including scheduling, performance reviews, training, and providing feedback
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in broadcast or cable news; at least 3 years experience of newsroom management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements
- Uphold outstanding grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
