Position Summary
The IT Network Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of Network / Server hardware, Software, and related Infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure group. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures a to organizational values.
Essential Duties and Tasks
Provides Network / Server support services, including hardware / software installation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution with emphasis on networking and VMware
Manage and monitor all installed computer systems, server, storage, network and telephony infrastructure on premise and cloud based
Proactively maintain infrastructure to ensure security and availability for end users
Administer servers, network equipment, software deployment, updates, and patches of network related server systems
Investigate and recommend new technologies and products that would benefit the overall server / network infrastructure
Provide 2nd and 3rd level end user technical support
Work with vendors and other IT staff for project development and problem resolution
Completes work requests and special projects, as assigned
Performs related duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies, or equivalent combination of experience, relevant IT certifications and credentials
Expert Level Experience with Networking (Aruba / Cisco switching, routing and wireless)
Experience with modern Palo Alto and Fortinet systems (Prisma SD-WAN, FortiGate, FortiClientEMS)
Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) Experience
Azure Virtual Networking and Virtual WAN Experience
Experience supporting a multi-site enterprise environment
VMware ESXi 7 in a multi-site configuration
Microsoft server operating systems 2008 R2 through 2022
Active Directory / IIS / Microsoft SQL / Microsoft Exchange / SharePoint / Teams / Office 365
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Outlook
Must be able to travel (up to 30%.)
