The night shift Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Operating Room manages the administrative and clinical aspects of the Surgery specialty during the overnight hours, which includes organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of quality, patient-centered, cost-effective patient care. The night shift ANM provides education to staff based on their clinical and theoretical expertise and will partner with the Nursing Leadership team, OR caregivers, and surgeons to assess and implement process improvements as needed. The role also manages staffing to ensure proper clinical resources and the continuity of patient care.
The hours of this full-time position are 12-hour night shifts, 1900 – 0730, working every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. No on-call requirements.
Required qualifications for the ideal candidate include:
- A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS OF OPERATING ROOM RN EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED).
- Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing. BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN NURSING (BSN) REQUIRED.
- Strong demonstrated clinic knowledge and skill; good oral, written and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and organization skills.
- Provides care with compassion and empathy.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Thrives in a team environment.
- Has excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Is ready to advance their nursing career in a leadership role

Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
