As an approved contractor for U.S. Navy and Air Force, we also conduct ballistic performance testing on a variety of CAD/PAD devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Quality Assurance inspection of materials received
- Inspect and measure components using micrometers, calipers, part specific gages, pin gages, height gages, optical comparator, surface finish standards and other standard measuring equipment (Mechanical QA)
- Accurately record inspection and test results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices
- Moderate frequency of heavy lifting (maximum weight 50lbs)
- Moderate frequency of gripping/reaching
- Manual dexterity is moderately necessary.
- Must meet Valor attendance requirements.
- Must be able to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Uphold Valor standards and specifications
- Act as primary reviewer of documents supporting receipt of OSV supplied material, including but not limited to COC and CTRs
- Assure physical control and accurate tracking of non-conforming OSV material
- Input product information into ERP system
- Assist in coordinating daily receiving inspection efforts.
- Implement and diligently follow 5s processes within the department.
- Assist supervisor in carrying out department goals and objectives.

This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
- Must pass initial and subsequent background checks to include maintaining eligibility according to federal requirements and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
- Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug and alcohol screenings
- Comply with internal non-disclosure agreement requirements
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel in support of daily inspection initiatives.
- 2 years’ QA experience in a DOD-contract facility
- Understanding GD&T (Mechanical) or electronic test methods (Energetics)
Physical Requirements:
- RARE (less than 10%): Crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces and ladder, wearing a respirator, lifting over 50 lbs.
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stretching arms above head, lifting over 15 lbs. to 40 lbs., able to withstand loud noise, handling chemicals,
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): Bending, walking, pushing, transport, range-of-motion, reaching, twisting, sweeping, balancing, gripping, lifting to 15 lbs.,
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Repetitive motion, reading, standing, sitting, seeing, seeing distant, depth-perception, color vision, speaking clearly, hearing-speech-range, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, ability to withstand varying temperatures, attention to fine detail
