Description As the activation specialist, this person will play a key role in one of the fastest-growing parts of our business by communicating with clients and partners to develop successful custom programs from start to finish. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience in project management, custom content, integrated marketing, digital advertising, analytics, account management and sales. Responsibilities Assisting with the management and execution of Ad Age custom programs including, but not limited to: publishing partners, white papers, webcasts, podcasts, panels, and select custom events. Communicating with clients and partners throughout the full program lifecycle so all parties are up-to-date on status and goals. Working closely with internal departments such as Ad Age’s Studio 30, sales, art, marketing, editorial, web design, ad operations, and events to ensure all teams are aligned on client goals, expectations, and KPIs. Overseeing and optimizing on all program elements—from start to finish—to ensure timelines are met, client objectives are achieved, and all campaign deliverables are launched in accordance with the sales contract. Development and delivery of detailed post-campaign reporting, analytics and insights at the end of campaign flight to all clients. Assist the activations senior team leadership with administrative tasks and day-to-day core functionality of team at large. Basic Requirements 1-3 years of experience in sales and marketing, client partnerships, account management, integrated marketing, and/or activations, may include junior staff roles and internships Exceptional written and oral communication abilities Exceptional organization and project management skills Basic understanding of social media platforms and performance KPIs Proficient with Google Suite, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, Journalism, or any other relevant degrees Preferences Media, advertising, sales, or marketing industry experience is a plus Familiarity with high-level client communications Knowledge of graphic design (e.g.- basic Adobe PS) Understanding of research marketing Familiarity with basic APA style This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. The job posting will provide specific information on where and when your amazing work would be performed. Employee work location is determined by the needs of the specific team and may include on-site, hybrid or remote. Employee work location is subject to change. An “in-office” role would require the employee to come into the office most days with occasional flexibility to work remotely if tasks can be performed elsewhere and if the manager approves. The typical physical requirements are light work—exerting up to 25lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10lbs of force frequently and may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Some positions will have additional physical requirements, including exerting up to 50lbs of force to move and/or carry equipment, supplies, files, or other materials as the role requires.
