- Project Scheduling and Budgeting: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with project goals. Continuously monitor progress and adjust as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Cost Management: Track project expenses and manage resources to stay within the approved budget, identifying potential cost savings and mitigating any budgetary issues early.
- Permits and Approvals: Ensure that all necessary permits (e.g., NOC, NOT) and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project lifecycle to avoid delays or legal issues.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety regulations and promote a safe work environment. Lead regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure all team members are aware of safety protocols.
- Team Development and Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior staff and hourly workers, fostering a collaborative work culture focused on continuous improvement and skill development.
- Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with project owners and subcontractors, ensuring all terms are clear, fair, and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on Florida Building Code, EPA regulations, and SJWMD requirements to ensure the project adheres to all relevant laws and standards.
- Critical Path Management: Identify and develop the critical path for each project, ensuring timely completion by addressing potential delays proactively.
- Progress Monitoring and Adjustments: Regularly assess project progress and make necessary adjustments to resources, scheduling, or methods to keep the project within the agreed timeframe.
- Proven Experience: A minimum of several years of experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, safety regulations (including OSHA), and local building codes (such as Florida Building Code).
- Communication and Relationship-Building: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Skilled in the use of project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, etc.) for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking project progress.
- Safety Certifications: OSHA 30 certification and First Aid/CPR training are preferred, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
