Responsibilities :
- Directs, plans, and coordinates activities concerned with production of company product(s), and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors, utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment.
- Confers with management personnel to establish and implement company policies and goals and production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Oversees the selection and maintenance of equipment, determination of required resources, and estimation of costs.
- Coordinates production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
- Monitors product standards and develops and implements quality control program and operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Monitors the production processes, adjusts or revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems, and ensures goods and services are produced efficiently and with the correct quantities, quality, and cost.
- Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and production reporting processes.
