Key Responsibilities
- Directs production activities, establishes priorities, and utilizes knowledge of product technology, methods, and procedures to optimize operations and cost factors.
- Collaborates with management to establish policies, goals, and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data on product specifications and delivery dates.
- Selects and maintains equipment, determines required resources, and estimates costs.
- Covers production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to achieve optimal production and resource utilization.
- Reviews production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify nonconformities and operating problems.
- Monitors product standards, develops quality control programs, and implements operating methods to eliminate problems and improve product quality.
- Adjusts or revises production schedules and priorities due to equipment failure or operating problems, ensuring efficient production with correct quantities, quality, and cost.
- Consults with engineering personnel to modify machines and equipment for improved production and quality.
- Maintains accurate inventory and production reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive production experience.
- Experience in PCBA, metal stamping, cable wire casing, plastics molding, or similar industries is beneficial.
- Technical understanding of machinery functions mechanically, electrically, and software-wise.
- Previous experience with PCBs.
- Resourceful, analytical, and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of all manufacturing facets.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Understanding of analytics and performance metrics.
- Promotion of process improvement.
