Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and pragmatic Legal Counsel to join our legal and compliance team. The ideal candidate will provide independent, sound, and legally accurate advice while balancing business needs. This position involves reviewing and drafting sales and supply contracts, managing claims, supporting litigation, and offering compliance-related support across the assigned region. The successful candidate will also play a key role in facilitating training sessions on legal and environmental compliance topics and supporting ECO investigations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Support:
- Provide sound, pragmatic, and legally correct general legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate sales and supply contracts.
- Manage claims and litigation support within the region of responsibility.
Compliance and Training:
- Facilitate training sessions on legal, compliance, and environmental topics for relevant teams.
- Support the compliance organization in ECO investigations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with compliance and operational teams to ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Partner with business leaders to mitigate risks and drive pragmatic solutions.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification is required.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within a multinational organization or law firm.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in commercial contracts, claims, and litigation management.
- Knowledge of compliance and environmental legal frameworks.
Languages:
- Fluency in Thai and English is required.
