Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) acts as a liaison between departments, supports the General Manager (GM) in vendor relations, and contributes to community engagement. This role is crucial in managing day-to-day operations, championing HR initiatives, and maintaining a positive company culture. The AGM provides operational communication and reports to the General Manager. All team members at The AGM is expected to embrace an "all hands on deck" mentality, assisting with various tasks as needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Position Expectations
- Operational Support: Assist the GM in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across all departments.
- Financial Management: Support the GM in generating and reviewing financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, and revenue analysis. Assist in cost control measures and participate in P&L analysis.
- Human Resources: Collaborate with the GM and HR partner on staffing, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and compliance with labor laws. Support recruitment efforts and employee relations initiatives.
- Sales & Marketing: Contribute to sales strategies, assist in maintaining relationships with key accounts, and actively promote The Prospect. Support social media engagement and respond to guest inquiries.
- Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest service by addressing concerns, anticipating needs, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Actively solicit guest feedback and implement improvements.
- Property Management: Assist in maintaining the property, ensuring quality standards are met, and managing operational systems (PMS, POS, accounting software). Work with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Support the GM in building and developing the management team, providing guidance and support to staff, and fostering a positive work environment. Lead by example and promote teamwork.
- Legal & Compliance: Assist the GM in ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- "All Hands on Deck": Be willing to assist with various tasks, including housekeeping, guest transport, or other duties as needed to support the team and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with staff, management, and guests. Prepare reports and updates for the GM.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
