UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
The Senior Director, Partnership Tax reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The position has responsibility for: understanding the operating agreement of the company and supporting the overall tax function of the Company and its partners, working with the financial team on pulling reports, gathering information, and making various tax related payments throughout the year, and working with the Company’s tax provider throughout the year on various tax compliance filings.
Additionally, the position will oversee payroll operations, managing one direct report (Payroll Manager will maintain a dotted line report into Human Resources as well as to this role).

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $130,000
The exact salary varies within range based on years of relevant experience and education.

Responsibilities
- Maintains a knowledge of the Company operating agreement and can speak to the agreement during both internal and external discussions. Experience with partnership tax technical is a plus
- Provide oversight of regular and special payroll processing for employees and partners of CCS. Oversee compensation compliance, reporting, and process improvements as the organization continues to grow
- Assists Controller in collecting tax information for yearly and quarterly filings as well as for ad hoc projects throughout the year, including partner compensation, accruals, state audit support, etc.
- Assists the CFO in preparing annual and quarterly partner tax memos for each partner
- Assists the finance team with quarterly partner distributions and payments to various states on behalf of the partners and company
- Assists in tax research, seek and share relevant tax matters updates to share with the partnership
- CPA with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Masters in Taxation
- Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting and tax experience
- Exposure to payroll operations management, direct oversight a plus
- Broad knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations strongly preferred
- Collaborate with outside counsel and advisors regarding partnership tax and compensation compliance matters
- Knowledge of flow-through and state tax compliance and international tax compliance
- Strong analytical and modeling skills
- Strong project management skills
- A history of demonstrated strong communication skills with outstanding writing skills
- Ability to operate both independently and interdependently with colleagues and capacity to take initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Self-starter, sound decision making skills, excellent attention to detail’
- Excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to fighting for equity and social justice
- Must be willing to work in a "hybrid/flex" environment which will require both on-site and remote work as designated and may be updated from time to time
