Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end projects for various departments. This role ensures successful system configuration, data migration, and stakeholder coordination while maintaining compliance with government regulations. The PM will work closely with IT, Business teams, and vendors to deliver a fully functional and efficient licensing system. A strong onsite presence is required to facilitate project execution, testing, training, and user adoption. To be successful in this role, the Project Manager should have a combination of technical and soft skills.
- Develop requirements document, project plans, and timelines.
- Ensure the project stays within scope and timeline constraints.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership on a monthly basis.
- Deliver assigned projects on schedule. If the project is in jeopardy of not meeting the deadline, inform stakeholders within 24 hours of determination.
- Lead the configuration and deployment of application(s) for various departments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to migrate data from legacy systems.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT, various departments, and outside consultants.
- Gather and oversee business requirements from stakeholders.
- Assist, develop, and implement customized workflows, scripts, integrations, and user roles.
- Assist with deploying the module in a production environment with minimal disruption.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions for end-users.
- Provide onsite and virtual training for departmental staff.
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination between departments and vendors.
- Work onsite as needed to troubleshoot issues and ensure system adoption.
- Provide hands-on guidance during testing, training, and go-live phases.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve system defects.
- Develop training materials.
- Ensure a seamless transition from legacy systems, minimizing disruptions.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams for configuration, integration, and deployment.
- Ensure system customization, migration, and training are successfully completed.
- Deliver a fully functional, compliant, and user-friendly application meeting departmental needs.
- Provide post-implementation support to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Monitor performance, address post-launch issues, and ensure adoption.
- Lead meetings for each project daily/weekly.
- Send meeting notes using the designated template within 24 hours of each meeting.
- Ensure timelines and deliverables are met as indicated in the project plan.
- Report roadblocks to the designated supervisor for each project within 24 hours of identification.
- Attend Change Management Board every Tuesday to represent project changes if changes are submitted for the project.
- Update the weekly project spreadsheet no later than 3 PM on Thursday (or the designated date/time if it changes).
- Work closely with supervisors for the allocation of resources.
- Coordinate with internal County departments on communication to County staff.
- Collaborate and align efforts with departments both within and outside the county.
- Foster change acceptance and adoption among frontline employees with modern technologies.
- Develop change communications tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external.
- Adhere to established change management processes.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned projects by offering suggestions or direction as a member of the team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years in the Information Technology Field.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- PMP certified.
- Five (5) years' experience managing multimillion-dollar software application implementation projects in large-scale systems, especially cloud-based technologies.
- Hands-on experience developing both technical and user-friendly communications.
- Ability to work onsite full-time, Monday Thursday, 10-hour days.
- Must be a Clark County resident.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities with a proactive, resourceful, and innovative approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative and positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with software providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure, manage high volumes, and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in both oral and written formats.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar workflow management tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Microsoft Project.
- Must be able to pass a stringent criminal background check (process may take up to six weeks).
