What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving position at CCT Enterprises?
OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for all shipping/receiving functions for CCT Enterprises.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Receive and do receiving inspection on incoming raw materials. Label material for use and place in designated area. If the material does not pass the inspection, place on hold and notify proper personnel.
2. Receive and inspect incoming freight (UPS, Trucklines, Fed-ex, etc.). Any freight with a purchase order is received through JobBOSS. Distribute to proper department/location.
3. Inspect warehouse stock daily for damaged products, cartons, skids, etc. Perform cycle counts on inventory.
4. Maintain warehouse stock on a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) basis.
5. Prepare all products for shipment by freight companies (UPS, Truckline, Fed-ex, etc.) to achieve 100% on delivery status.
6. Make proper paperwork for the driver to load and deliver to achieve 100% on time delivery.
7. Unload and inspect customer-supplied material against packing slip. Place material in receiving inspection area.
8. Perform stock assessments, check inventory levels and any customer required month end inventory.
9. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse and shipping department.
10. Trucking duties:
· If the driver is absent make deliveries as needed
· Maintain a daily log of mileage and destination
· Perform daily check of trucks in use
· Maintain cleanliness of trucks
· Maintain 100% on-time delivery status
· Maintain good relations with customers
11. Responsible for accident prevention activities in assigned department.
12. Participates in safety/audit surveys as required.
13. Supports continuous process improvement functions.
14. Commitment to ISO 9001:2000 and CCT philosophies.
15. Develop/execute continuous improvement plans.
16. Pick and deliver raw materials to all departments.
17. Pack and label parts to be inventoried or delivered to customer/vendor.
18. Wash parts in parts washer as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical certification.
- Lift truck operator license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-starter with leadership capability.
PLANT PERFORMANCE RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:
- Direct interaction with all levels of CCT personnel.
- Contact with vendors, customers, and visitors.
