What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Specialist position at CDC Global Solutions?
CDC Global Solutions are working with a long standing client who specialise in CDMO services for drug product and APIs. With over 250 members at 3 different sites in NA, they are expanding and looking for a BD specialist based in Florida to support their revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Inbound business lead management as directed (25% of role).
- Support post DSS RFQ/post PO client support and follow up (25% of role).
- Evaluate and qualify all inbound leads. Compare against ideal customer profile and research using Global Data and online resources as needed. Drive special sales projects to identify new sources of business (25% of role).
- Provide ongoing customer service. Follow-up on closed opportunities (lost & won) to maintain communication and drive repeat opportunities (25% of role).
- Enter all Leads in Salesforce and review with the BD team weekly. Generate and provide reports as needed for tracking.
- Coordinate internally with the BD team to ensure successful handoff of leads to the designated BD representative and create new opportunities within Salesforce for qualified leads.
- Develop productive interdepartmental relationships and act as the “face” of the BD team in all interactions. Communicate appropriately and follow all internal processes and procedures as needed to be successful in the role.
- Develop strong working relationships with both senior-level and bench-level customer contacts through telephone, email and social media contact.
- Perform continual market research to identify new market opportunities (i.e., identifying key high-value APIs for sales initiatives, key new clients, etc.).
- Perform research on competitors and update BD team / senior leadership as designated by supervisor.
- Support digital marketing strategy by utilizing LinkedIn and other social media platforms to share updates, identify leads, etc.
- Assist in creation and implementation of marketing campaigns (Email marketing, digital advertising, sponsored social media content, etc.).
- Assist with planning and organization of tradeshows, conferences and corporate events arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
- Working experience in digital marketing preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM tool preferred.
- Sales experience in the life science industry preferred.
- Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Social Media, specifically LinkedIn preferred
- Knowledge of the drug development process preferred.
- Enjoy interacting with people, scientific discussions, and strategic thinking and planning.
- Able to travel as required (travel will vary from 10-20%).
- Proactive, energetic self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
