FAST: Respond quickly - EASY: Don't complicate things - FUN: Be a great day makerPosition Summary:The primary responsibilities of the Insulator are split between the insulating, crating, and shipping processes during the final assembly of CDI's curbs and curb adapters. Each task must be completed with safety, accuracy & timeliness in the insulating & shipping department. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Accurately measure the interior dimensions the finished shell of the product Install insulation material, lifting lugs, foil tape, & applicable labels to CDI's specificationsOperate glue guns, drill, sprayer, and pinspotter to complete assigned tasks.Review and clean welds and apply cold galvanizing spray paint to CDI's specifications.Track and log work via computer/tablet and send the product to the next step.Accurately measure finished product to determine critical dimensions & weights. Through use of various power tools cut lumber to correct measurements for cratingConstruction of shipping skids/crates through use of pneumatic nail guns, chops saws and various other power toolsLoad completed product on trucks in line with the carrier, DOT and CDI's requirements.Other duties as assigned.Shift time: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday; 1:30pm - 10:00pm Eligible CDI employees are offered the following benefits:401(k) with up to 4% employer matchHealth, Dental, and Vision insuranceLife InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability InsurancePaid Holidays and VacationProfit Sharing OpportunitiesDepartmental cross training and many promotional opportunities!
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Must be at least 18 years old.Outstanding attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong time management skills.Ability to safely use various measuring tools & various other hand, power, & pneumatic tools.
