In this role, you will provide essential support to residents, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. Shelter locations will be throughout Charlotte County.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and sign in shelter guests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to shelter policies
- Assign beds to guests based on availability and specific needs
- Maintain accurate records of guests and inventory of supplies
- Provide information to guests
- Collaborate with other shelter staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of the shelter
- Uphold the principles of dignity and respect for all shelter guests
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a shelter or social services setting is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings
- The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to deal with high pressure
- Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and Overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends
- Must have a valid active and clear Driver's license
- Demonstrates the technical safety expertise, coaching ability, and passion for the role
- Partners and collaborates effectively to create win wins with internal operational partners and external partners
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to balance education vs. accountability
